Even out a music library: unify loudness across folders
Old albums, downloads, and compilations often jump in level. On Windows, match whole folders by LUFS – offline and many files at once.
The problem with uneven collections
Libraries mix decades, labels, and encodings. Peak meters say little about how loud a song feels – LUFS does.
Editing file by file in Audacity or an editor wastes hours. A program that brings whole folders to one target level is the practical approach.
Why desktop wins for libraries
Large libraries do not belong in browser uploads. LUFS Converter Pro processes MP3, FLAC, and WAV locally, including subfolders, with progress and a clear report.
Format and quality stay the same – only loudness changes. Ideal for archives, DJ folders, and personal collections.
Recommended workflow
- Choose a source folder (optionally with subfolders).
- Set target LUFS – e.g. -14 near streaming or -18 for quieter playback.
- Limit peaks and optionally use a destination folder.
- Start and check unusual values in the report.
